Raiders Cheer

Detroit at Green Bay (-13.5)

Green Bay needs to address the revolving door offensive line or Aaron Rodger won’t survive the season. I like Detroit to hang within the spread.   For all their failings, they can score this year and if anyone is going to fight hard for the last 22 jobs in Michigan, it’s going to be these guys.

My pick: Detroit

New York Giants at New Orleans (-3)

Remember the days of no forward pass?  Well Sunday we bring you the day of no forward punts.   Both teams not only can put up 35 in the first half, both can’t defend against the deep ball and both coaches have shown they’ll go for it on 4th and short.   The Big Easy is the Big Over Sunday as both clubs shoot out the lights.

My pick: New Orleans

Cleveland at Pittsburgh (-14)

Cleveland punter Dave Zastudil will be the hardest working man for the Browns once again this week, although he won’t be working as hard as the guy running the Steelers scoreboard.

My pick: Pittsburgh

Houston at Cincinnati (-5)

Chad Ochocinco bought the remaining Bengals tickets so the game wouldn’t be blacked out in Cincinnati, this won’t help the Texans fans, as Houston will still be able to tune in and watch their team take a last minute beating from the Bengals

My pick: Cincinnati

Kansas City at Washington (-6.5)

Washington hasn’t played a team with a win this season, this schedule will delay the inevitable Zorn firing, and Jim Zorn keeps his job for another week.

My pick: Washington

Carolina at Tampa Bay (+3)

The Panthers picked up a win last week and they can keep the momentum going versus the Bucs. A respectable 8-8 or 9-7 isn’t out of the question for Carolina. The Bucs will continue their march to 0-16.

My pick: Carolina

St. Louis at Jacksonville (-9.5)

The Jack Del Rio era is coming to an end this season, Maurice Jones-Drew and Mike Sims-Walker (That’s a lot of names for just two guys) have both shown disrespectful behavior in the past week. Jones-Drew questioned the offensive play calling and Sims-Walker was suspended one game for not following team rules. This would be a much bigger issue if they weren’t paying the Rams this week. The Rams will make any team feel like a champion.

My pick: Jacksonville

Baltimore at Minnesota (-2.5)

Brett Favre had some nice words for Ray Lewis this week, saying he admires Lewis more than anyone else in the league. I think it’s Favre’s way of saying “Don’t kill me, I’m and old man and you’re a murderer.”  Unless Lewis kills err I mean injures Favre, the Vikings will take this one.

My pick: Minnesota

Arizona at Seattle (-3)

You never know which one of these teams are going to show up, we could get the good Seattle and the bad Arizona or the bad Seattle and the good Arizona or the good Seattle and the good Arizona and the good Seattle or the bad Arizona and the bad Seattle. I’m predicting we see the good Arizona and bad Seattle. Did you follow that?

My pick: Arizona and the moneyline

Philadelphia at Oakland (+14)

Oakland is just awful, really really awful. Philadelphia is pretty damn good. Russell will be eaten alive by the Philadelphia defense.

My pick: Philadelphia

Buffalo at New York Jets (-9.5)

Both Trent Edwards and I had the same bad idea in the preseason. Trent wanted TO on the Buffalo Bills and I drafted TO to one of my fantasy teams. The difference between Trent’s bad idea and my bad idea is Trent is stuck with TO for the year, while I can drop him to pick up and extra kicker.

My pick: New York Jets

Tennessee at New England (-9)

Remember The Titans?  Well hit up Netflix if you want to see that feel good story since the Pats keep that Denzel flick in their overstocked library of stolen tapes.   The Pats rebound off a game they gave away in Denver.   What’s the cure for a team looking to kick start Randy Moss?  How about an intersquad game against a team with no corners.

My pick: New England

Chicago at Atlanta (-3)

These are two evenly matched teams, the -3 for the Falcons is due to home field advantage. This game could go either way, as both have good young quarterbacks, solid runners and sturdy defenses. The only concern is Atlanta’s Michael Turner hasn’t put up the numbers we all expected. Take the Bears plus the points.

My pick: Chicago

Denver at San Diego (-3)

I don’t want to bet against the Broncos right now, they have met every challenge with a win. This week they put a stranglehold on the AFC West with a win over the Chargers in San Diego. I just hope Josh McDaniel will show some emotion this week.

My pick: Denver and the moneyline
