UFC 118 Results – Maia goes the distance against Miranda

It was battle of BJJ masters and Demian Maia proved he was still the best practitioner in the UFC. Maia controlled the fight from start to finish and won a unanimous decision. All three judges called the fight 30-27 for Maia.

In the fight Miranda looked afraid to let it go, even at the urging of his coaches including Anderson Silva, Miranda was tentative and even though he avoided Maia’s submissions, he didn’t make any attempts of his own.
