Tonight the two bottom teams in the NCAA tournament played for the right to be slaughtered by the Duke Blue Devils the first round. Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeated Winthrop 61-44 and now will play Kansas in round one of the NCAA tournament.

The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions (18-15) were completely off the bookmaker’s radar this season as they only had six spreads attached to them this season. They finished a modest 2-4 ATS and that included the win over Winthrop tonight.

About the School
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is a historically black university located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Founded in 1873, it is the oldest HBCU and the second oldest public institution in the state in Arkansas (after the University of Arkansas). UAPB is a member school of the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund.

The most famous alumni are Greg Wesley former safety from the Chiefs, Mark Bradley also from the Chiefs and Dante Wesley who you will remember as the guy who knocked out punt returner Clifton Smith, (Video below) and Dirty South rapper Big Tuck.

The Dante Wesley incident will be pretty much what we can expect Duke to do to The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
