The Houston Texans still hurting from their heartbreaking loss to the Colts two weeks ago, scoring on their first four possessions and take a 13-point halftime lead. The Colts fought back as Peyton Manning threw three TD passes and Clint Session returned an intercepted Matt Schaub pass 26 yards for a score.
The Colts covered the 3.5-point spread
Cleveland Browns. 7
Cincinnati Bengals. 16
It wasn’t the blowout fans were expecting but the Bengals defeated the Cleveland Browns 16-7. With the win, the Bengals extended their lead in the AFC North. The Bengals widely expected to turn to an aerial assault, instead ran for over 200 yards including 107 from newcomer Larry Johnson.
The Bengals failed to cover the 14-point spread
Washington Redskins. 24
Philadelphia Eagles. 27
Another baffling coaching decision by Andy Reid almost cost the Eagles a win. Underestimating the Redskins, the Eagles opened the game with an onside kick but it backfired as the Redskins recovered and scored an opening TD less than two minutes into the game. The teams went back and forth until David Akers kicked a game winning FG with 1m48 remaining in the game.

Miami Dolphins. 14
Buffalo Bills. 31
The Buffalo Bills used a 24-point fourth quarter and a big game from Fred Jackson to beat the Miami Dolphins 31-14. The win is the first for rookie head coach Perry Fewell. The Dolphins couldn’t take advantage of Ricky Williams 3rd straight game rushing for more than 100 yards.

Seattle Seahawks. 27
St. Louis Rams. 17
The Seattle Seahawks got a career game from Justin Forsett to beat the St. Louis Rams 27-17. Forsett scored 2 TDs and rushed for 130 yards. This is the Seahawks first road win of the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 17
Atlanta Falcons. 20
Tampa started strong but couldn’t hold on against the Atlanta Falcons as the Falcons backup QB Chris Redman connected with Roddy White for a game winning TD with 23 seconds remaining. The win could prove costly for the Falcons as they lost starting QB Matt Ryan and starting RB Michael Turner to injuries during the game.

Jacksonville Jaguars. 3
San Francisco 49ers. 20
Alex Smith played his best game of the season throwing two TD passes and the defense caused Jacksonville fits all games. Mike Singletary had been demanding this perfectly executed game from his team all season. The 49ers defense held Jacksonville Jaguars star runner to 75 yards and no touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs. 14
San Diego Chargers. 43
The San Diego Chargers continued their late season surge crushing the Chiefs 43-14. The Chargers converted on for Chiefs turnovers including a 40-yard fumble return by Paul Oliver. LaDanian Tomlinson rushed for 2 touchdowns and moved into 10th place on the all time rushing list.

Chicago Bears. 10
Minnesota Vikings. 36
If the Brett Favre for MVP rallies hadn’t already started in Minnesota, they will be in full swing after the old man threw for almost 400 yards and 3 touchdowns. Fellow gunslinger Jay Cutler has a long way to go before people will consider him an MVP. Cutler threw 2 more interceptions and was ineffective against the Vikings defense. The Bears dropped to 4-7 and the Vikings moved to 10-1 on the season.

Arizona Cardinals. 17
Tennessee Titans. 20
In a replay of the 2006 BCS championship game, Vince Young once again outdueled Matt Lienart as Young’s Tennessee Titans beat Lienart’s Arizona Cardinals 20-17. Trailing 17-13, with only 2:37 remaining, Young drove the Titans 99 yards on 18 plays for a TD. Young converted 3 fourth downs on the drive. Young finished with a career high 387 passing yards.

Baltimore Ravens. 20
The Steelers started third string QB Dennis Dixon after Big Ben and Charlie Batch were unable to go due to injuries. Dixon performed admirably, throwing for a TD and running for one more. Dixon’s lone mistake came in overtime as the Ravens Paul Kruger intercepted a pass, which set up Billy Cundiff for a 29-yard game winning field goal by.
