NFL Sunday Round Up Week 4

Colts cheerIt was another fantastic NFL Sunday, there were some upsets, some pretenders were exposed and a couple of teams have juggernaut written all over them.

Peyton Manning and the Colts are 4-0 and going back to last season have won 13 straight regular season games. Manning lead the Colts to touchdowns on four of their first five possessions as Indy easily put away the Seahawks 34-17.

Peyton’s little brother Eli had a big game of his own as the Giants cruised to an easy 27-16 victory over the talentless Chiefs. Steve Smith of the Giants is making the case that he is THE Steve Smith of the NFL after hauling in two TDs and gaining 134 yards.

In a battle between the undefeated Jets and Saints, New Orleans beat New York 24-10. The Saints D exposed Mark Sanchez, forcing the rookie to make mistakes he was able to avoid in his first three games in the league. Darren Sharper intercepted two Sanchez passes, returning one for 99 yards and a score.

There is no stopping the Denver Broncos as they moved to 4-0 after beating the Dallas Cowboys 17-10.  Denver’s start has been a surprising to say the least; BetUS.com had the Broncos on a list of teams likely to remain winless.

Tom Brady and the Patriots jumped out to an early lead and held on to beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-21. This win should put to rest any thoughts of the Patriots being also rans this season.

Chad Ochocinco caught two touchdown passes as the Bengals tied the Browns late and used almost the entire overtime period to beat Cleveland 23-20.

The Detroit Lions kept the game close but the Chicago Bears cranked up the offense late to beat the Lions 48-24.

In Pittsburgh, Ben Roethlisberger threw for 333 yards and Rashard Mendenhall rushed for a career high 165 yards as the Steelers dominated the San Diego Chargers for a 38-28 in the NFL’s late game.
