Tiger Woods is Divorced
Tiger Woods and his now ex-wife Elin Nordegren are officially divorced. Details of the divorce likely won’t leak out for a few days but a couple things we do know is that the former couple will share custody of their two children and Tiger will pay Elin a dump truck full of money in a settlement.
While no definite numbers have been released, if she was successful in gaining half of Tiger Wood’s wealth she would be about 750 million dollars richer.
Another thing we can speculate on is now that the divorce is final; Tiger Woods if can indulge in his deepest desires without the feeling of guilt that has plagued him since the incident occurred.
We may be going out on a limb here but when Tiger was enjoying the finest cocktail waitresses that Las Vegas could provide, he was the most dominant player in golf. Without the guilt of Elin standing over his shoulder with a 3-iron, Tiger can prowl the casino floors looking for new women to buy subway sandwiches. Improving his off the course game, by our logic, should improve his game on the course.
Conversely, Woods is notoriously cheap, as we found out with his ability to wine and dine his girls with Subway Sandwiches rather than expensive dinners and Grey Goose. The prospect of losing hundreds of millions of dollars could occupy his mind more than the guilt of meaningless sex with cocktail waitresses.
Either way, I’m pulling for Woods to get both of his games back, he’s good for golf and honestly without Tiger on the prowl, the PGA isn’t the as good.
It hasn’t been decided but Cory Pavin has a tough choice to make and it’s whether to put Tiger Woods on the US Ryder Cup team. Statistically speaking Woods hasn’t put up the numbers that would help the team at the Ryder Cup but with the divorce behind him, he could a blessing to the team.
I think he’ll be on the team and even with him on the team; Europe has a decided edge in the odds.
