The Chiefs have shown improvement over the last couple of weeks, losing a close one to Dallas and then picking up their first win against the Redskins, the Chargers have to be one of the biggest disappointments this season. Many so-called experts, myself included, had them picked to run away with the AFC West. Phillip Rivers will be the difference in this game as the Chiefs are susceptible to the big play, Rivers will complete big plays for big gains.

Indianapolis Colts -14 (EVEN)
St. Louis Rams +14 (-120)

This will be the biggest blowout of the week; the only question will be if the Colts can go over the total of 45 all by themselves. I’m predicting the Colts cover the -14 and we have a Jim Sorgi appearance in the 3rd Quarter.
Green Bay Packers -7 (-115)
Cleveland Browns +7 (-105)

If you can find this line on the board jump of the Packers -7, the flu has run through the Browns locker room, infecting about 14 players including 10 starters. The Packers offense would have had no trouble covering without the Browns flu epidemic but this will be much easier as they will face backups or weakened starters. The under looks good here as well, the Packers will put up 28 but I doubt the Browns will score more than 10.

When will Brett Favre and the Vikings lose? The answer could be this week against the Steelers. Both Favre and Ben Roethlisberger have been putting up great passing numbers but the Steelers secondary will be a little bit better. I think this game will be decided by a field goal. Steelers win, Vikings win on the point spread.

I’m a huge fan of the show Family Guy, if you remember a few seasons ago Peter made the Patriots and after a falling out for showboating, he was traded to the worst team, the London Silly Nannies. Later in the show Peter sets up a game between the powerhouse Patriots and the Silly Nannies only to have his team run away at the site of the Patriots. I bring this up because this game will be played in London England and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play part of the Silly Nannies. It’s a lot of points to give up for any team but after what the Pats did to the Titans last week, I think we’ll can expect more of the same.

The 49ers receive a boost to their offense with the return of Frank Gore. Also Michael Crabtree will make his professional debut. They’ll need it as the Texans, lead by TD passing leader Matt Shaub can put points on the board. Houston’s Achilles heel is their inability to stop the run. If Frank Gore is 100% the 49ers could run away with this. (Bad Pun Intentional)

I really don’t know what to expect from either of these teams, the Raiders put on a defensive clinic versus the Eagles last week and Mark Sanchez hit the rookie wall throwing 5 interceptions in the Jets loss to the Bills. I may kick myself for taking this one but pick the Raiders and the points

Cedric Benson is coming into this game with a huge chip on his shoulder, this week he accused the Bears of trying to blackball him out of the league after Chicago cut him loose. Luckily, for Benson the Bengals will take the players nobody except the police want. Jay Cutler hasn’t looked the part of a franchise quarterback the Bears were looking for. Benson is the story in this game but it will be Palmer and Ochocinco who make the difference for the Bengals.

Both these teams are excellent on the ground, Miami ranked 3rd and New Orleans ranked 5th. If the Saints can slow Miami down on the ground and force this game into an aerial shootout, they have the best QB in the game right now. The way New Orleans ripped apart the Giants supposed dominant D last week it leaves no doubt in my mind they will do the same to the Dolphins.

I don’t see how the Cowboys are favored here. This line that jump out at me and screams take the dog on the moneyline. But we have to look at the Dallas running game that has been gaining serious ground and the Falcons run D that hasn’t been very effective. Miles Austin had a career week against the Chiefs but the Falcons aren’t the Chiefs. What will be the determining factor in this game will be if the Cowboys can get to Matt Ryan. Until now, the Falcons O-Line has been brilliant.

The Giants intend to bring the Blitz against the Cardinals, which could mean trouble for Kurt Warner and the Cardinals. Arizona has been playing much better of late, I don’t see them winning but they should keep it within 7.
