NFL Free Picks Week 4
I hope the Lions were able to enjoy their first win since 2007 because their win streak stops at one.
My pick: Chicago
Oakland at Houston (-8.5)
Houston’s defense will keep them out of the playoffs this season, but thankfully, for the Texans they won’t need a strong defensive to keep the Raiders from scoring.
My pick: Houston
Tampa Bay at Washington (-7.5)
The Tampa Bay Bucs were arrested for spousal abuse; the judge dismissed the case because the Bucs can’t beat anybody. Washington picks up the win here. Look for 7 if you can find it, that extra half point makes me nervous.
My pick: Washington (Shop for a 7-point spread)
Seattle at Indianapolis (-10.5)
The Seahawks will have Hasselbeck back under center this week but the way Peyton and the Colts are playing it won’t matter much to the games outcome but Seattle can keep it within two scores.
My pick: Seattle
New York Giants at Kansas City (+8.5)
Even if by some miracle, the Chiefs can slow the Giants offence, they won’t be able to mount any sort of attack against the Giants defense.
My pick: New York Giants
Baltimore at New England (-1.5)
This is a game where I would like to see them both win, Baltimore is clicking and the Patriots look like they are on the verge of playing some solid football. The Baltimore running game makes the difference here.
My pick: Baltimore
Cincinnati at Cleveland (+6)
Eric Mangina announced Derek Anderson would be starting for the Browns this week. That switch forced me to think about this selection for about three more seconds. Should I double my wager?
My pick: Cincinnati
Tennessee at Jacksonville (+3)
Jeff Fisher’s season to forget continues; the team is making too many mistakes to win. Their loss to the Jaguars this week will be the nail in the coffin for the Titans hopes and dreams this season.
My pick: Jacksonville and take the moneyline
Buffalo at Miami (+1)
Buffalos poor run defense + Miami’s wildcat rushing attack = A Miami Dolphins victory.
My pick: Miami and take the moneyline
New York Jets at New Orleans (-7)
Drew Brees let the defense win the game for the Saints last week, its back to work. Mark Sanchez will lose a little luster this week.
My pick: New Orleans
Dallas at Denver (+3)
Denver gets a wake up call and the front desk says the Cowboys are not the Bengals, Browns or Raiders. Dallas puts Denver to sleep early in this one.
My pick: Dallas
St. Louis at San Francisco (-9.5)
When I first looked at this line I thought “SF giving up almost 10 points, that’s a lot” then I remember the Rams are awful, just awful.
My pick: San Francisco
San Diego at Pittsburgh (-6.5)
Philip Rivers should be able to exploit the holes in the Steelers defensive secondary. Pittsburgh is really missing Troy Polamalu.
My pick: San Diego
Green Bay at Minnesota (-3)
Brett Favre is playing the Packers for the first time ever; I thought the media would have noticed this. Favre burned me last week in the last seconds. I won’t be burned again unless it’s by Aaron Rodgers and honestly, that won’t feel as bad.
My pick: Minnesota
Byes: Arizona, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Carolina
