Jets 17
Colts 30

The Colts trailed by 11 with two minutes left in the first half and fans were wondering if the Jets were about to become giant killers once again but the giant had different plans. Peyton Manning made two quick passes to Austin Collie and the lead was down to four at half time. The Colts scored two more TDs and a field goal in the second half while shutting down the Jets offense to win 30-17.

This is the Colts franchise’s fourth trip to the Super Bowl; interestingly each time has been in Miami.

Peyton Manning passed for 377 yards with three touchdowns Sunday, as the Indianapolis Colts defeated the New York Jets 30-17 in the AFC Championship game to advance to the Super Bowl.

The Colts were a 7.5-point favorite in the game and were able to cover the spread. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (40).

Pierre Garcon caught 11 passes for 161 yards with a touchdown for Indianapolis and Austin Collie had seven receptions for 123 yards and a TD.

Mark Sanchez passed for 257 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Jets, while Thomas Jones rushed for 42 yards on 16 carries.

Vikings 28
Saints 31

Brett Favre was Brett Favre and it cost the Vikings a chance at the Super Bowl. Favre tossed an interception with 7 seconds remaining in the 4th deep in New Orleans territory. What’s baffling about the play was that the Vikings were in field goal range and had a time out. A simple run up the middle and a time out would have given kicker Ryan Longwell a chance to win it. The game went to overtime where New Orleans won the toss and Favre never saw the field again, as Garrett Hartley kicked a 40-yard game winner.

This will be the Saints first trip to the Super Bowl
