NBA ATS Hot/Not List – Jan 30th
NBA ATS Hot List
1. Atlanta Hawks – 30-15 – 30-15-0 ATS
The Hawks were expected to be good this year but they have been better than even the bookmakers thought. They sit second in the East with matching SU and ATS records. If you bet $110 on every Hawks game this year, you would be up $1,350.
2. Utah Jazz – 28-18 SU – 27-17-2 ATS
The Jazz under Jerry Sloan have been a model of consistency, the team is 3 back of Denver and 9-1 in the past 10 games. $110 on every game would bring you back $830
3. Oklahoma City Thunder – 25-21 – 28-18-0 ATS
Kevin Durant and the rest of the very young Thunder team are above .500, closing in on a playoff spot and lining bettors pockets with green. $110 on every game = $820
4. Charlotte Bobcats – 23-22 – 27-18-0 ATS
The addition of Stephen Jackson has been a huge lift, they are playing about .500 ball but they are covering a lot more spreads than they used to. $110 x 45 games = $720
5. Milwaukee Bucks – 19-25 – 26-19-0 ATS
The Bucks are still languishing well below .500 but they are keeping games close. $110 x 45 games = $510
NBA ATS Not List
1. New Jersey Nets – 4-41 – 15-30 ATS
The best line I’ve heard this week about the Nets pure unadulterated awfulness was from Late Show With David Letterman’s head writer Eric Stengel “After hearing that Arenas and Crittenden were suspended for the season, every member of the New Jersey Nets brought guns to work”
2. Washington Wizards – 15-30 – 16-27-2 ATS
It’s only going to get worse for the Wizards, Gilbert Arenas and Jarvis Crittenden are suspended for the season. Antawn Jamison is likely on the move before the trade deadline and the it will leave Caron Butler as the only star on the mess of a team. Flip Saunders, your first year was a mess.
3. Boston Celtics – 29-15 – 18-26 ATS
Too much respect from the bookmakers, they are winning the games but not covering the spread. Teams like this are a bookies best friend.
4. Philadelphia 76ers – 15-31 – 19-27-0 ATS
Allen Iverson is playing well but with the team locked into a bad contract with Elton Brand, the team will likely have to trade Andre Iguodala to rebuild.
5. Indiana Pacers – 16-31 – 19-27-0 ATS
Danny Granger has been great, the rest of the team not so much, you can feel confident betting against the Pacers almost every night.
