I Can Walk On Water and Win 97% of My Bets
I Can Walk On Water and Win 97% of My Bets
I’m not an overly religious man, in fact, I’m skeptical about everything. So when a certain sports betting champ started making claims that his winning percentage was 97% I immediately had my doubts.
After analyzing the system, you can make money but be warned, you can lose your entire balance if you have a bad day. He is using a chase betting system. A chase system is one where you chase your losses by increasing your wager size on each subsequent bet. It’s like the often used but routinely debunked Martingale system. The Martingales system calls for you to double you wagers after each loss. It’s true it will only take one win to get you back to even but the system doesn’t account for a few variables such as players bankroll and sportsbooks betting limits.
For example if a book has a maximum wager on games of $5000 and you routinely bet $1100 to win $1000 have a look at the results after three losses.
Fist Bet loses $1100
Second Bet loses $2310
Third bet loses $3641
At that point, you are down $7051 and because of the $5000 betting limit it’s impossible for you to place a single wager and get back to even.
What makes the Champs system even more dangerous is that you are required to buy 3 points in a basketball game. This makes your first wager $1700 to win $1000.
I know you are thinking but he claims to win 97% of the time. Well he doesn’t count all of his losses, with his system, he sends bettors three picks and according to his math, as long as one of the three wagers wins he counts it towards the total but doesn’t acknowledge the loss. However if two or all three games win he adds those to his total. The only time he counts a loss is when all three of his games lose and considering the amount of money you would have lost by losing all three the only number you’ll be concerned with is the big fat 0 in your account balance where your money used to be.
I know some people who have made some money following this touts method of picking games but it’s incredibly risky and unless you have a huge bankroll and a sportsbook that offers extremely high limits I would stay away.
I’ll leave you with one stat to ponder, 57%, that’s the winning percentage of Billy Walters of the computer group, Walters is probably the best gambler in the history of Las Vegas.
