My personal favorite from 2010 was the Cee-Lo Green instant classic “Fuck You”. I think we’ve all wanted to say that to an ex but we don’t, err at least I don’t have the pipes to sign in like that.

Bodog is offering odds on Album of the year, Record of the year and song of the year.

Eminem is a huge favorite to win the award for Album of the year at -400. His colab with Rihanna is +125 favorite to win Record of the year.

Our man Cee-Lo Green is the slight favorite to win for song of the year.

The best new artist category has a couple of Canadians duke it out, with Justin Bieber being a solid -225 favorite over Drake at +400 to win the Grammy for best new artist.

Check out the full odds….

Pitchers and Catchers will be reporting as early as February 13, while the rest of the players will stroll into camp in the week following.

Bodog.com has their World Series Odds up so if you want to get an early jump on your baseball futures betting, Bodog.com seems like the place to get it done.

The Philadelphia Phillies are the favorites to win the World Series in 2011, with odds at 13/4. Next is the New York Yankees at 13/2, the Boston Red Sox at 5/1 and the defending champion, Giants come in at 14/1. The Texas Rangers round out the top five with 18/1 odds to win the World Series.

If you want to waste your money on some World Series odds, the sad sack Pittsburgh Pirates at 200/1 and the Kansas City Royals come in at 150/1.

It might be a long time before we see those bets cash with the looming labor crisis in the NFL but it’s interesting to see their take on who will win Super Bowl XLVI a year away.

The favorites to win Super Bowl XLVI are the defending Champions the Green Bay Packers at 7/1. It’s happened three times in the past twenty years, the Cowboys in 1994, the Broncos in 1999 and the Patriots in 2005 so it’s possible. The New England Patriots are the next favorites to win Super Bowl XLVI at 15/2. The Steelers are 10/1, the Chargers are 12/1 are next. The Ravens, Saints, Colts and Jets are tied with the fifth best odds to win Super Bowl XLVI at 14/1.

If you are looking for long odds, the Carolina Panthers at 125/1 and the Buffalo Bills at 100/1 are the worst bets to win the Super Bowl.

Here are the full odds thanks to Bodog.com

It was a hell of a game. I trust you took our advice, well the advice we borrowed from Billy Walters and took the Green Bay Packers on the point spread. The game looked like it could be a push or worse, potentially go into overtime when the Steelers converted a two point after touchdown to bring it to 28-25. But thanks to a devastating hit by Clay Matthews that knocked the ball loose from Reshard Mendenhall, forcing the Steelers third turnover of the game. Then Aaron Rodgers continued his mastery of the Steelers and marched his team down the field for a game clinching score.

Gambling Results – If you bet the Green Bay Packers on the spread you were a winner, if you bet the over you were a winner. If you teased either team and the over, you would have pushed on a 6 point teaser and won all the rest.

Prop Betting – If you bet on the props and I trust that you did, the coin toss was heads and the Packers deferred. In the national anthem betting, there was a little controversy. Christina Aguilera muffed the lines to the National Anthem so instead of saying the correct lines she repeated the previous lines. It comes into play if you bet the over at some books who had their lines at 1m56, as with the correct lines she could have gone over the total. Instead she stayed under by clocking in at 1m53ish.

Mendenhall’s fumble – He’ll take the lion’s share of the blame here but really Ben Roethlisberger had a bad game, throwing two picks including one that was run back for a score.

Aaron Rodgers MVP – Rodgers played a brilliant game, in fact it shouldn’t have been as close as it was as his receivers had a severe case of the dropsies. Still he thew for over 300 yards and three TDs.

13th Title –The Packers win their 13th title since 1929. The Vince Lombardi Trophy goes home.
Other news and Notes

The Fire Marshall Sucks – The fire marshal closed off a section of 400 seats. The fans were give 3x their money back but that doesn’t cover flights or hotels.

The Entertainment – If follow Twitter, the timelines were shredding the Black eyed Peas worse than Rodgers did the Steelers defense. I’ll never forgive Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson for locking us into an eternity of horrible halftime shows.

The Commercials – According to experts, they were the worst ads in recent Super Bowl memory but if you are watching the Super Bowl for the Advertisements, then the corporations have already won.

Today’s the day, Super Bowl XLV. Both teams went through a ton to be here.

First, the Steelers had to play their first four games without Ben Roethlisberger because of his suspension for not following the no means no rule but they performed like a Super Bowl contender all season. They finished with a 12-4 record and a first round bye, beating the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets to make it to their third Super Bowl in the Big Ben era.

The Green Bay Packers were favorites to come out of the NFC at the beginning of the season but after losing first-string running back Ryan Grant to a season ending injury, and then losing 14 other players for the season, their title hopes looked grim. Still they won their final two regular season games over the New York Giants and the Chicago Bears to earn a 10-6 record and a sixth seed in the Playoffs. When the playoffs began, the Packers beat the Eagles, destroyed the Falcons and dumped the Chicago Bears once again to earn their spot in the big game.

Game Line
Pittsburgh Steelers	+3 -120 +125
Game Total	44½
Green Bay Packers	-3 +100 -145

The game line has been fluctuating between 2½ and 3 points so make sure you shop around before making your pick. The total has gradually risen since the line was released. There will be a ton of action Sunday, so looking for line moments during the day to make sure you lock in the best line.

I spoke with a few insiders at a few books and apparently 95% of the sharp money is backing the Steelers and the NFL betting public is behind the Packers. The biggest and best bettor in the world of online gambling Billy Walters is rumored to have seven figures down on the Green Bay Packers.

Personally, I’ve been riding the Packers all season, so my 12/1 futures bet on Green Bay is swaying my decision a little bit here but the fact that I’m on the same side as Billy Walters makes me feel better about my decision to take the Packers at -3 Points.

Sportsbook Veteran Super Bowl Pick: Green Bay Packers -3

The data breaks down the historical records of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs in various situations, and then combines them with situational data from this season to give us their Super Bowl Prediction by awarding each team a score for their quarter.

First quarter
Super Bowl winning percentage: The Packers and Steelers are the two winningest teams in playoff history.
Packers – 44 postseason games, 28-16 record (63.6 percent),
Steelers -52 postseason games, 33-19 record (63.5 percent)
Advantage: Packers

Offensive points: The team with the better regular season offensive numbers has won the Super Bowl 23 out of 44 times.
Packers ranked 10th with 388 points
Steelers ranked12th with 375 points
Advantage: Packers

Third-down conversions: It’s a statistic that is often the difference in a tight game.
Steelers converted 43.1 percent of their 3rd down chances.
Packers converted (41.5) percent of their 3rd down chances.
Advantage: Steelers

END OF FIRST QUARTER: Packers 2, Steelers 1

Second quarter
Time of possession: In the regular season, the Steelers averaged a possession time of 32:24, the Packers (32:01). In the postseason, Green Bay (34:47) holding a small edge over Pittsburgh (34:34).
Advantage: Packers (playoffs count more than regular season)

Regular-season sacks: Pressure on the quarterback can change the dynamic for even the most prolific offense. In the regular season, the Steelers and Packers were the two best teams at getting to the quarterback. The Steelers totaled 48 sacks, while the Packers recorded 47. Advantage: Steelers

Postseason sacks: The Packers have a plus-5 sack ratio in their three games, while the Steelers are minus-1 in their two games.
Advantage: Packers

HALFTIME: Packers 4, Steelers 2

Third quarter
Points allowed: The Super Bowl team giving up the fewest points in the regular season has won 28 out of 44 matchups.
Green Bay allowed 240 total points
Pittsburgh allowed 232.
Advantage: Steelers

Regular-season turnover differential: Teams with a positive turnover differential have gone 32-3 all-time in the Super Bowl (there were nine times the teams had the same number of turnovers).
Steelers had a plus-17 turnover ratio.
Packers had a plus-10 differential.
Advantage: Steelers

Postseason turnover differential:
Packers have a plus-3 turnover differential.
Steelers are even in turnover differential in the playoffs.
Advantage: Packers

END OF THIRD QUARTER: Packers 5, Steelers 4

Fourth quarter
Age of quarterback: With age comes experience, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into Super Bowl success for quarterbacks. The younger of the two Super Bowl signal-callers has actually come out on top just as many times as the elders have. For what it’s worth, Ben Roethlisberger is 28 years old, while Aaron Rodgers is 27. In fact, Roethlisberger and Rodgers were born within 10 months of each other, making this the seventh time in the 44-year history of the Super Bowl that has been the case, with a 3-3 split in those instances. Advantage: Tie

Age of coach: Mike Tomlin became the youngest coach to win the Super Bowl when the Steelers defeated the Cardinals following the 2009 season, bucking the notion that experience translates into Super Bowl success. In fact, the younger of the two Super Bowl coaches has won the big game 25 out of 44 times. Packers coach Mike McCarthy is 47 years old, while Tomlin is 38. Advantage: Steelers

END OF REGULATION: Packers 5, Steelers 5

Overtime
Sunday will mark just the third time in Super Bowl history that a team has reached the Super Bowl after posting a 10-6 regular-season record, and both times those teams have emerged victorious. The 10-6 49ers defeated the Bengals, 20-16, in Super Bowl XXIII. The 10-6 Giants upset the undefeated Patriots, 17-14, in Super Bowl XLII.

This year, the 10-6 Packers face the 12-4 Steelers. Advantage: Packers

FINAL: Packers 6, Steelers 5

It’s hard to say if this really is a good method to pick a Super Bowl winner but I’ve definitely seen worse ways.

We’ll be back tomorrow with our Super Bowl XLV Predictions

The main event is a middleweight bout between Anderson “the Spider” Silva takes on Vitor Belfort.

This is a stacked card from top to bottom and a real son of a bitch for betting as the closest fight is the co-main event where Rich Franklin is the smallest favorite at -170 over Forrest Griffin.

The fight I’m looking most forward to is the Ryan Bader-Jon Jones fight, both are young hungry and phenomenally talented. Let’s hope Bader give Jones a tougher fight than the rest of Jones’ opponents.

Let’s look at all the fights and see if any of the underdogs have a chance to upset on the main card.

Anderson Silva -220
Vitor Belfort +175
Middleweight Championship 5 rounds
Dana White said this could be a great fight or a staring contest. It could be both all in the same fight. I think the first round will be fantastic. I see Belfort going balls out in the first round trying to get a dominant position on Silva. If he fails to take advantage in the first, I see Silva playing defense for the final four. It will be interesting to see how Belfort’s long layoff will affect him in this fight. Although he looked awesome his last time in the cage, a first round KO of Rich Franklin. I think Silva will win this in five round decision that will lack the showiness of his Maia fight or the drama of his Sonnen fight.

Forrest Griffin +140
Rich Franklin -170
Light Heavyweight 3 rounds
I like both of these guys. Franklin is coming back from a broken arm, while Griffin is back from shoulder surgery. Both are excellent strikers and both are very aggressive. Griffin has a big advantage here. Franklin was a long time 185lbs guy, Griffin walks around at 230, it will be the difference here and Griffin pulls out a win in what should be fight of the night.

Ryan Bader +250
Jon Jones	-350
Light Heavyweight 3 rounds
Both of these guys are at a pivotal spot here. The winner immediately jumps into the contenders mix of the light heavyweight title hunt, the other has to go back to the drawing board for another couple fights. Bader has knockout power but we haven’t seen Jones take too much punishment. I’d like to see Bader take Jones down, he’s a Div one all-American wrestler, he’d much rather slug it out on the ground than look to deal with Jones standing. I like Bader to perform better than the rest but really Jones will be the UFC LHW champion within 18 months.

Antonio Banuelos +300
Miguel Torres -400
Bantamweight 3 rounds
Torres used to be the man in the WEC Bantam weight division before he was upset by Brian Bowles, then was choked out by Joseph Benavidez. He bounced back defeating Charlie Valencia earning submission of the night. He’s should have his head clear after changing trainers. Torres should win via Submission.

Carlos Eduardo Rocha +250
Jake Ellenberger -350
Welterweight 3 rounds
Ellenberger is a rising star. After dropping a split decision to Carlos Condit, he’s TKO’d John Howard and Mike Pyle. Rocha is 9-0 with most of his fights taking place in Germany. In his UFC debut he subbed TUF runner-up Chris McCray. This is tough fight to bet and I’d lay off. If Ellenberger can keep it standing, he’ll win but if it goes to the ground, it’s hard to say what Rocha can bring.

It gives every writers from fumbucknowhere with Super Bowl Media credentials as chance to get up close and ask the players a few questions. Some are good questions, some are stupid or outright bizarre but really it’s the last chance the media will have an up close talk with the players before Sunday’s Super Bowl.

The best part about it is that some players join in on the madness and conduct their own interviews

We’ve compiled some of the highlights, really it’s a lot of YouTube clips but it’s a pretty good watch.
The Super Bowl XLV betting line hasn’t changed too much but as the week goes on, we should see a little fluctuation. Shop around for your Super Bowl XLV line as some books have it at -2.5 Packers while others have it at +3. If you’re feeling adventurous you can load up on the Packers -2.5 and the Steelers +3, if the Packers win by 3, you win the Packers bet and push on the Steelers. Any other result you just lose the juice.

Gatorade Color, wardrobe malfunction and whatever else we had to offer, some guys were sharp others were just caught up in the Super Bowl prop betting frenzy. Let’s look at some of the entertaining props to come out.

The National Anthem prop is one that caught national attention when Billy Joel was asked about the sort of rendition he would give, fast or slow. Joel answered, “I haven’t decided, I may have a bet on that myself.”

This year the National Anthem will be sung by Christina Aguilera and thankfully she’s been singing the national anthem on a public stage since she was 11. So the line should be pretty sharp

The National Anthem betting is always popular

National Anthem Specials
Betus.com
Length of the National Anthem Moneyline
Over 1min and 56sec -120
Under 1min and 56sec -120

Bodog.com
Over 1 minute 52 seconds -150
Under 1 minute 52 seconds +110

Bodog opened their line at 1m50 for a while there was a nice middle opportunity but as the line is creeping up, wait until there is another line change save yourself a few cents on the juice. Or you can trust the Bodog’s original handicap and take the value of 6 seconds on the under.

Bodog has added some finer point to the National Anthem Prop this year.

I’m not a big fan of one sides props because it usually means the right answer is the side that’s not available. No need to bet on the next two props but they are interesting none the less.

Super Bowl XLV Specials – Will Christina Aguilera wear a cowboy hat while singing the National Anthem?
Yes +300

Super Bowl XLV Specials – Will Christina Aguilera’s hair color be anything except completely blonde when she sings the National Anthem?
Yes +175

Super Bowl XLV Specials – How long will Christina Aguilera hold the note “Brave” at the end of the National Anthem?
Over 6 seconds -140
Under 6 seconds EVEN

I really like this last one, how long will she hold the note. Take the value on the Under and the even money.

Here are a couple videos of Christina Aguilera singing the National Anthem so you can decide for yourself.
