Fantasy Football Hot or Not Week 3

Eagles cheerAll right guys, here is the Sportsbook Veteran Hot or Not for week 3 of the NFL season. I have headed your advice and I don’t have Fred Jackson on the Hot List. (Fred Jackson is HOT x3 this week versus the Saints) This week we have two tight ends, 2 running backs and a wide receiver on our hot list. If you don’t have them grab them now.

Hot

1. Laurent Robinson – Robinson is Marc Bulger’s only favorite target. The Packers will take the lead early and the Rams will be throwing to catch up. He’ll make some plays.

2. Vernon Davis –Minny has focused on stopping the run and the wide receivers, this has allowed opposing tight ends to put up solid numbers in the first two week. SF is in a good position to upset the Vikings and Vernon Davis will play a major role when it happens.

3. Felix Jones – The Cowboys are saying they are going to rest Marion Barber versus the Panthers, the main beneficiary of those extra touches will be Felix Jones. Even if Barber starts, Jones is an awesome flex play after rushing for 96 against the tight New York Giants Defense.

4. LeSean McCoy – Brian Westbrook almost certainly out this week versus the Chiefs. It’s the Chiefs they don’t need him. LeSean McCoy will put up solid numbers this week in place of Westbrook.

5. Brent Celek – With Kevin Kolb under center Brent Celek should see 10+ passes come his way. Kolb is still raw and the solid hands of Celek will be sort of a safety blanket if Kolb is pressured. Of course, versus the Chiefs all of the Eagles should have a good day.

Not

1. Dwayne Bowe – He’s a solid option most other weeks but don’t be fool by his 10+ fantasy points in week 2. They came after Nnamdi Asomugha came out of the game.

2. Darren McFadden – It’s a shame Darren McFadden and Michael Bush are playing for Oakland, they both would put up monster fantasy numbers on a good team. Don’t expect much from Run DMC as Oakland plays Denver and their impressive D.

3. Willie Parker – Fast Willies isn’t that fast anymore, if you are thinking about playing him STOP. The Steelers aren’t a run team anymore.

4. Brett Favre – The 49ers are not the Browns or the Lions. Favre will be amped up for his first game in the dome as a Viking. I predict he’s make more mistakes and it will cost the Vikings the game.

5. Tom Brady – It pains me to write this but if you are in a shallow league of 10 teams, consider playing your back up this week. Randy Moss is hurt and so his Wes Welker. Brady will have to work harder for yards this week than he has in a long time.
